The Titov Theory does not reduce a candle to one upward or downward label. The lower extension, upper extension, and body answer different analytical questions. The lower non-retained extension becomes Titov Ascendant Force. The upper non-retained extension becomes Titov Descendant Force. The body is allocated to either Titov Ascendant Result or Titov Descendant Result.
Titov Ascendant Result equals retained upward displacement when Close exceeds Open. Titov Descendant Result equals retained downward displacement when Open exceeds Close. Both are nonnegative coordinates. Keeping them separate prevents opposite bodies from cancelling before their gross contributions have been examined.
The four quantities exactly reconstruct the complete admitted range: High minus Low equals Ascendant Force plus Descendant Force plus Ascendant Result plus Descendant Result. This Titov Event Decomposition Identity provides an internal audit rule for every valid implementation.
Force and Result may align or diverge. A field can contain large reaction evidence with little retained progress, or modest reaction evidence with substantial retained displacement. The relationship must be observed and tested rather than assumed.
Key Concepts
The vocabulary of the field.
Titov Ascendant Result
Retained upward displacement, equal to max(Close − Open, 0).
Titov Descendant Result
Retained downward displacement, equal to max(Open − Close, 0).
Titov Sector Signature
The ordered vector [TAF, TDF, TAR, TDR] aggregated inside one sector.
Research Takeaway
A completed Titov Market Event is a four-part record: non-retained extension is measured as Force, retained directional displacement is measured as Result, and the complete range remains conserved.
